STK ( from Anysys) uses a Licence server and local file to point to Server.
This would seem a perfect candidate for Automated App licence.
We are happy to package the application ourselves (as there are options)

Phill, The Adobe Creative cloud suite Licence template coppies a bunch of files and folders to the machine.

Surely the same process could copy a single file?

kris Smith: I agree that would be useful, however that isn't how AAL works. It is actually a CAE that is included in the appset After Virtualization that writes the license information to the target machine, it just gets the information from a special temporary Environment variable that gets put down (one time only) and this contains the information that the CAE has to decode to extrapolate the license information, but it is the CAE that dictates the location the information gets written to.

Hi Kris, I agree, it sounds like this app can be Automated, however this is the first time I have heard of this app, so I am unsure how many of our customers would find it useful. I guess if other customers respond saying that it would be useful, then we would definitely reach out for source media and license information to create an AAL version.

Phil Davis: Maybe we need a feature in AA that a licence can just ass a single file to an application.

There are quite a few apps that use a simple text file as a licence or to locate a licence server so an option to "put this file there" would add to the AAL pool
