Read-only roles
Alexandre Cop
It would be useful for our service desk to have read-only access to apps and provisions in the portal, so they can answer requests for accessing an app.
Equally, there are settings that only AppsAnywhere can see, but when troubleshooting a problem it would be useful for Administrators to see them in read-only, so you can rule out obvious issues e.g. change of server name or URL.

Hi Alexandre. Please could you elaborate a little on what you'd like your service desk to be able to do - is it just to see which apps and provisions are set up, or something else?
Alexandre Cop
Lewis, Creative & UI-UX Lead @ AppsAnywhere: Yes, pretty much. In essence, they will get requests such as "how can I get access to xxx", "why is xxx unavailable" or "my colleague can see xxx but I don't".
So they need to see what apps are there, who are they provisioned to and for which devices.
Does this clarify?
Lewis, Creative & UI-UX Lead @ AppsAnywhere
Alexandre Cop: It does thank you. We want to do more with roles in general. I think a 'read only' view might be complex with some of the legacy pages, which are just forms, but it could be something that we start small with and iterate on over time.

Lewis, Creative & UI-UX Lead @ AppsAnywhere: Ok, happy to answer any queries you have. Maybe read only is OTT, and you would be better off with new dashboards you can drill into?
Equally, if/when more is available via API, we may be able to concoct our own dashboard. We've had requests previously for a dynamic page on our website that shows which apps are available in AppsAnywhere.
